| ahh...it's nice to feel so relaxed for a change. -DOE proposal went out the door Friday. -finally tried out aikido at the Montpelier dojo last night, think it might actually work with my schedule - plus I found a carpool to get back which does not mean I have to drive or get picked up every time I go. -walked to the bus for the first time this morning along the state highway, which I've been contemplating for a while as a winter alternative to biking, wasn't bad at all. -snowing pretty thick today which means a lot of people are working from home, both contributing to a low-key atmosphere to the office. -In a work responsibility holding pattern for a couple of weeks. -kitchen is oh-so-close to being done, which means it's just a pleasure to be in and work in there now.

| loving my Big City Weekend!!
-Fri pm met up with Naloo after she got off work, we had sushi for dinner and went to some highfalutin place for a dessert of lava cake, had a nice long chat -Sat am had a lovely brunch with NH, friend from work (our DC office) at Busboys and Poets (avocoda, havarti, and red pepper panini and a side fruit dish with ginormous berries and pineapple) -watched NH's capoeira all levels class, took the intro class which she taught, man it was way more tiring than I had expected - killer on the quads and I ended up with four blood blisters! -met up with RS for dinner at The Reef (awesome job on the polenta and shrimp with the heads on), then to Tryst for strawberries and warmed nutella for desert -got all fancied up (had to borrow shoes from Naloo) and went to the W bar, which overlooks the white house, then to Lima and Tattoo for dancing with RS, his roommate and her friend, man it was crowded in both places -Sun am went to dim sum with Naloo and her friends, mostly from work and their partners -copied business cards at Kinko's (long story) -now prepping for the conference, starts at 7p
